Resin Jars

Description

Pure organic, botanical resins burned by our ancestors for thousands of years, beautifully packaged in a re-usable glass jar and ribbed kraft box. Choose from Frankincense, Myrrh, Lover’s Blend, Citrus Hojari and Copal.

All these resins can be burned on charcoal discs in our abalone shells and incense bowls, and their aromatic smoke wafted with our Native American smudge feathers.

Although we are not allowed to make claims regarding the medicinal properties of resins, indigenous people have traditionally used them as following:

Frankincense – a gentle fusion of the sweet and zesty varieties of Frankincense burned for purification to clear negative energies from places and people, bringing a sense of peace and wellbeing

Myrrh – a dried oleo-gum-resin with a spicy, warm aroma, burned for cleansing and healing, bringing a sense of calm and nurture (can stick to the sides of the jar – use an implement like a toothpick to loosen)

Lover’s Blend – a blending of Frankincense and Myrrh which can act as an aphrodisiac when burned, harmonising their Yin and Yang qualities to promote feelings of sensuality, harmony and relaxation

Citrus Hojari – a combination of the smaller Orange, Amber and Yellow Frankincense resins with a distinctively citrus aroma burned to promote feelings of happiness, calm, peace and harmony

Copal – sacred to the Mayan Indians and burned to promote clarity and integrity of speech, and to carry prayers to Spirit
