This New Moon in Aries is conjunct both Lilith and Chiron – two incredibly powerful archetypal energies in the Rose Lineage Mythos.

Lilith is one of the most powerful Gnostic Goddesses and embodies the Crone Goddess archetype in my Venusian pentagram of five weekend workshops that form the first spiral of my Priestess of Sophia-Magdalene Training.

In the Bible, Lilith was Adam’s first wife who was cast out into the desert when she refused to lie beneath him, and therefore came to symbolise a woman’s refusal to be subjugated by patriarchal society.

Biblical Lilith is, in fact, founded on a much earlier Ancient Mesopotamian Goddess, and in my Healing Womb art installation for the Goddess Conference 2012, I painted Lilith as Mother of Solitude.

And now we find ourselves in solitude, in isolation, with Lilith conjunct the New Moon.

I chose to paint Lilith as Mother of Solitude because she embodies that aspect of us who, in times of deep trauma and fear, can feel completely alone, but it is in the depths of this enforced solitude, that we find our true strength.

It is by walking in the wilderness of our own psyches (energetically amplified by still being within the 40 day period of Lent), that we find the sacred waters of our inner oasis which not only have the power to heal us, but to awaken us to the gifts that we are bringing to the world in this lifetime.

Chiron, also conjunct this New Moon, is the Wounded Healer within each of us, who carries the light of our Soul gifts from our Sophianic descent into the Cave of the Black Goddess Sophia-Lilith, back out into the world for the good of all.

So for the next 4 weeks, we have a powerful opportunity to sink into the stillness of solitude and heal any shadow emotions that are arising (especially those being triggered by the threat of the coronavirus), to find our strength and power from journeying into the wilderness, and to become deeply conscious around the unique gifts we are each bringing from the challenges we have survived in order to co-create the New World from the ashes of this pandemic.

As the patriarchal structures of the Old World begin to crumble, Lilith and Chiron will be two of the archetypal voices that guide us in the co-creation of a New World founded in the mutual respect, love, compassion and support that we are witnessing being shared by people throughout the world.
